It’s a time of mounting tension when tenacious and free-spirited political activist, Carrie Cook returns home to Baltimore
to protest the acquittal of police in a public and brutal killing of a
Black man.
An invitation to a party from a childhood friend brings Carrie’s
personal life into collision with her politics as an intimate
betrayal tests her deepest values and complicates her quest for justice.

Director Biography – Darren Mallett
Darren Mallett is a producer/director living in NYC. Born in Brooklyn and raised in Tampa, FL. He’s Co-Creator and Executive producer of award-winning comedy web series, “Brett and the City”. Darren is a Curatorial Assistant at Creatively Speaking Film Series and together, he along with producer Empress Varnado, started #bbdigital; a series of events bringing content creators of color together.
In addition to “Brett and the City”, Darren’s directing credits include Black Gotham Experience web series, Bloom, a documentary currently in post-production and BodyMore which he also co-wrote. Darren is a graduate of the New School.
