Farewell Regent

Christene Browne is an award-winning filmmaker and novelist whose work has been broadcast and screened internationally. With the making of ÔÇťAnother Planet” in 1999, Browne became the first Black woman to direct and write a dramatic feature film in Canada. Her ground-breaking documentary series; Speaking in Tongues: The History of Language which features Noam Chomsky was awarded the Visionary award at the 2011 Women International Film and Television Showcase. Browne currently lectures in the Radio Television Arts department (RTA) at Ryerson University in Toronto.
